Leave a message or speak in person. Date, location, event, timeline, your name and contact information. WILL I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT? We do require a deposit upon booking to ensure that this date will be completely reserved for your special date. $75.00 Regular dance / Weddings require a $100.00 deposit subtracted from the balance due. ARE YOU ABLE TO PROVIDE REFERENCES? We have plenty of satisfied customers who will share their views on our services. HOW MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICES? Your DJ may only represent a small part of your budget...but entertainment accounts for a large percentage of what your guests will remember. Pricing is based on professionalism and experience. Dance price packages vary depending on time, job description, travel destination and size of venue. New Years and Holidays by standard are more expensive. HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE? Selective Rhythms has been in business for nearly 15 years. With a wide variety of successful functions in our portfolio. As the president of Selective Rhythms Jason Harnett is a graduate of the Radio and Television Broadcasting Department at Conestoga College in Kitchener. He has worked professionally in radio for the last six year and catered to disc jockey demands throughout the province. DO YOU HAVE A LIGHT SHOW AND OTHER SPECIAL EFFECTS? We generally bring lights and fog to all of our jobs upon request from our client. If you’re looking for a more sophisticated lighting system, we can arrange this for your event at an additional fee. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU HAVE? We have music that makes people want to dance. Whether that be the 50’s and 60’s, country, big band, retro 80’s, disco rocking 70’s the 90’s right up to the hits of today in all genres. CAN WE BRING MUSIC FOR OUR DJ TO PLAY? Yes. If you feel your DJ may not have that particular song or artist. However, this must be pre-approved. If your party is going to require any special ethnic or international music it may be a good idea to pass them along to your DJ with proper tracks outlined. ARE YOU CD 98.9? Jason Harnett was formerly an announcer with CD 98.9, which is an adult contemporary/ top 40 format. Selective Rhythms and CD 98.9 are separate entities. At Selective Rhythms we play every format. The format that works for you! CAN WE REVIEW AND CHOOSE THE MUSIC WITH OUR DISC JOCKEY? Sure can. It’s also handy to create your own little list of songs you would like played or have special meaning to you. We can help you pick special songs. The key to a good wedding song: Something memorable, something that means something to you and your fiancé. HOW DO YOU HANDLE REQUESTS? Your DJ will introduce himself prior to the beginning of the dance and inform the crowd that you are encouraged to make request. Selective Rhythms also circulates request slips throughout the room for your convienice to fill out. Your DJ will be delighted to accept music requests, and we encourage this practice. It is the policy of the company however that the DJ will not play any music selections that are inappropriate for the situation, offensive to any guest, or particularly in bad taste when children under the age of 16 years are present. It is important to us that all of your guests have a good time, and that the music played is popular, recognizable, danceable and properly programmed for your guest. DO WE HAVE TO PROVIDE A MEAL FOR OUR DISC JOCKEY? No but it’s always nice! Sometimes difficult for our DJ’s to slip out and eat. They’re also are at your event for the entire duration and get hungry too. If there’s extra, great! IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR YOUR DJ’S? DRESSED FOR SUCCES! Our DJ’S are both professional and presentable for your event. WHAT ARE YOUR DISC JOCKEYS LIKE IN PERSONALITY? Our disc jockeys are all enthusiastic and fun-loving individuals who take great pride in ensuring that you and your guests have a truly memorable evening. WILL JASON HARNETT BE DJ’ING MY EVENT? Not in all cases, however Selective Rhythms is fortunate to have other professionals gifted in the music department. Enthusiastic individuals who take pride in making your event a success.
